The Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College

Encompassing the college campus, the Scott Arboretum delights and educates all visitors and inspires them to enjoy the many benefits of horticulture. Guests are encouraged to tour through the Arboretum, a unique garden of ideas and suggestions encouraging horticulture in its broadest senses through displays on the 425-acre campus of Swarthmore College.
The Arboretum grounds are open every day dawn to dusk; admission is free.

Lang Performing Arts Center

Located on the Swarthmore College campus, The Lang Performing Arts Center notably has five independent venues, whose use range from performance spaces to instructional classrooms which include the Lang Music Building. This state-of-the-art building houses a stunningly beautiful and acoustically superb 420 seat concert hall. All events held in the Lang Performing Arts Center are open to the public and most do not require reservations.

Ridley Creek State Park

For the nature lovers, Ridley Creek State Park is an oasis of open space in a growing urban area. Ridley Creek State Park stretches over 2,606 acres of Delaware County woodlands and meadows. The gently rolling terrain of the park, bisected by Ridley Creek is only 16 miles from center city Philadelphia. There are hundreds of picnic tables in 14 picnic areas, each equipped with restrooms and charcoal grills. Enjoy the 13 miles of hiking trails and 5 miles of paved multi-use trails for bicycles, joggers, walkers, and cross-country skiers.
Ridley Creek is stocked with trout and provides excellent angling. A portion of the creek is catch and release, fly fishing only area.

Linvilla Orchards

Linvilla Orchards is a 300-acre family farm dedicated to agriculture, entertainment and education. A trip to Linvilla offers guests the pleasure of picking their own fresh fruits and vegetables, seasonal hayrides, visits with their farm animals and enjoying Pumpkinland (seasonal attraction).
